Washington County Crime Rate

While credit for a reduction in crime goes to the entire team, the Washington County crime rate, measured by the FBI Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) Index Crimes, dropped 10.2 % during my time as Sheriff (2,069 per 100,000 in 2011, to 1857 per 100,000 in 2018). In addition, Washington County is the safest major urban county (five most populated) in Oregon. FBI Index Crimes: aggravated assault, rape, murder, robbery, arson, burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft.
